Standard RTS Codes

RTS codes are used on the labour page to sell, cost and describe repairs. They can be used to sell labour, sublet, sundries and oil, or as memo lines on an invoice.

It is suggested that both Expense items and Campaigns are created as Standard RTS codes. This ensures that the correct code is applied when a warranty job is created in POS and will not have to be updated at a later stage on the GWE system.

Note: It is very important that RTS codes are set up correctly, as they can also control the Labour type used to analyse the sale in the Nominal Ledger.

To access the Standard RTS Codes:

  1. From the Autoline menu, select Manufacturer Systems and 00 Global company.

The KERRIDGE OPERATIONS Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Standard RTS Codes option.

The Standard RTS Codes Form is displayed.

Expense Codes

The format of Ford expense codes is currently 'E###', where # represents a right-justified sequential number starting from 1. An up-to-date list of Ford expense codes can be found on the GWE system by clicking the Maintenance icon from the Main Menu and displaying the Misc. Expense Codes Tab.

Campaigns

A Ford campaign code must consist of 5 characters. Campaign codes are all currently '8C###' where 8 is the year number (1998) and C means campaign. The #'s represent a right-justified sequential number starting from 1. Therefore, the first campaign code used in 1998 would be 8C001.
