A separate daemon is required for each Renault Point-of-Sale company that interfaces with Dialogys. This program enables you to view each company separately. The Listener listens in on a specific port and performs operations according to the commands supplied by Dialogys. You can access the Renault Dialogys Listener Form to start or stop the daemon manually, or to view or print logs of daemon activities. The daemon is otherwise started and stopped at set times via Timed Operations. Parameters are set up via the Daemon Parameters option.
To access the Renault Dialogys Listener:
From the RENAULT OPERATIONS Menu, select the Dialogys menu option.
The Dialogys Menu is displayed.
Select the Daemon - Dialogys Listener option.
You are offered three options on the Select Item from Menu Form:
Exit
Clicking Cancel returns you to the Dialogys Menu.
Do one of the following:
If there is more than one Point-of-Sale company set up on the system, select the Choose-Company option, then select the Point-of-Sale company you require. If there is only one POS company set up, no choice is offered.
Select All to facilitate starting all daemons for each Point-of-Sale company that uses Dialogys.
Select Exit to cancel and return to the Dialogys Menu.
If you selected either a or b, the Renault Dialogys listener form is displayed.
