Dialogys Menu

Daemon - Dialogys Listener: The Dialogys Listener daemon(s) listen in on a specific port and perform operations according to the commands supplied by Dialogys. This option enables you to access the Renault Dialogys Listener Form to start or stop the daemon manually, or to view or print logs of daemon activities.

Daemon Monitor: This is normally set up as a Priority 5 option. Enables you to start or re-start the Listener daemons if daemons are not running, and to check the status of each Point-of-Sale company running Dialogys. The status is either Running or Not running/Stopped. Reports faults via Administrator mail to Systems Administrators.

Maintain Parameters: This is normally set up as a Priority 8 option, and enables you to maintain Renault Dialogys parameters. Each Point-of-Sale company that uses Dialogys requires a parameter record.

Maintain Operation Codes: This is normally set up as a Priority 8 option. Operation codes must be set up to determine which operations are valid when communicating with Dialogys.

Maintain Orders: This is normally set up as a Priority 8 option. When sales orders are created in Autoline, they must be monitored so that they cannot be created a second time. They are recorded in the Dialogys Orders File.

Consolidate Orders File: For Support. This is normally set up as a Priority 5 option and runs as part of the End-of-Day process. This option enables you to remove records from the RE.MS.dgord data file. If orders are not cleared overnight, this program can be run to see why clearance did not work.

Additional vehicle data: Not currently in use. This is normally set up as a Priority 8 option and enables you to maintain additional, Renault vehicle details not in the Price File.
