Dialogys Parameters

This is normally set up as a Priority 8 option, and enables you to maintain Renault Dialogys parameters. Each Point-of-Sale company that uses Dialogys requires a parameter record.

To access Renault Dialogys parameters:

  1. From the RENAULT OPERATIONS Menu, select the Dialogys option.

    The Dialogys Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Maintain parameters option.

    The Renault Dialogys parameters form is displayed.

This form is displayed when you select the Maintain parameters option from the Dialogys Menu. It enables you to maintain the following parameters for each Point-of-Sale company that uses Dialogys:

Company: Point-of-Sale company using Dialogys

Dialogys company id: The corresponding, Renault Dialogys company

Port number: The port number to use for connecting via socket

The following two mail id fields are used to alert the appropriate Parts and System Administration staff to any problems concerning the Dialogys system:

Note: It is important during the early days of implementation to include the kcc user in the list. User ids should be separated by a comma.

DMS availability: A Dialogys parameter that determines currency and conversions. Always 3 for the UK

Retain order days: The number of days for which to hold on to Dialogys orders in Manufacturer Systems

Franchise code:

The following fields relate to the status of lines sent from Dialogys. The Dialogys user can stipulate at what status an order line is passed to Autoline. These parameters are used to map the fields to Kerridge statuses. If any are left blank, the default statuses are used.

The defaults are:

POS operator: A new POS user must be set up in SO MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS. This can be used to distinguish order lines added via Dialogys.
