Warranty Types
When you create a claim you are asked to specify a warranty type. You are required to complete additional claim details depending on the claim type that you select.
There are four warranty types:
- Vehicle
- Free Service (not currently used)
- Parts
- Quality Bulletin (recall campaigns)
The parts and labour lines allocated to the claim may look a little different to the invoice for the following reasons:
- Multiple occurrences of the same part are added together
- Multiple occurrences of the same labour lines are added together
- A labour line with a sublet labour type is suffixed with 99
- Non-Volvo parts are totalled as a single sublet labour line. The system uses the first three digits of the first operation code on the WIP, suffixes it with 99, and sets the value to zero. (A non-Volvo part is defined as one that does not exist on the Volvo Master Price file.)
- The part causing damage is the first part on the claim
- The main labour operation is the first labour operation on the claim.
