Start The EVA Client Application

To start the EVA client application when working in Autoline:

  1. Select from the Main menu the Point of Sale option, combined with the concerning company.

    The POINT OF SALE menu is displayed.

  2. Select from the POINT OF SALE Menu, the Point of Sale option.

    Depending on the setting of the Point of sale access in the Terminal details form, the Select Item From M... form is displayed.

    1. Select the required item.

      In general, the Service item is selected, but you can also select Parts to start the initialisation process of the EVA interface.

    2. Click OK.

    When you enter the Point of Sale program of Autoline the initialisation process of the EVA interface automatically determines if the EVA client is running.

    When the EVA client is already running you can access the Point of Sale program as normally. When the EVA client is not running the login page is displayed.

    In the Session window forms (e.g. login page), you can have four buttons in the toolbar

    Button Action
    Exit

    Continues with EVA off line and returns to Autoline.

    You can work with the existing warranty functionality of Autoline.

    Cancel

    Stops the navigation process of the web browser control.

    If the Web page has been loaded successfully nothing will happen, otherwise an Action cancelled message of the Internet Explorer is displayed.

    Green arrow (left)

    Navigates to the previous page of the EVA session.

    Green arrow (right)

    Navigates to the next page of the EVA session.

  3. Type the Username and Password to log in to EVA.

  4. Click Login.

    The EVA starter applet page is displayed.

    Note: If you are working from behind a proxy server, you need to provide your proxy settings to the applet in the HTTP Proxy / Port fields to ensure a successful start of the EVA client.

  5. Click Start.

    The VEGA - Choose organisation form is displayed.

  6. Choose the concerning organisation.

  7. Click OK.

    The progress of logging on to EVA is displayed on the bottom of the EVA form.

    After a successful log on to EVA, the EVA welcome form is displayed.

    Tip: When you wait a few seconds, this form is minimized and you will return to the Point of Sale form of Autoline.
