The EVA Warranty menu is displayed in the Point of Sale form and VEGA retail form. The Warranty menu in the VEGA retail form is a subtraction of the menu in the Point of Sale form. In this chapter the complete Warranty menu is described.
Depending on the settings of the User parameters, user permissions and dealer codes returned by EVA, information on the work order and log on status to EVA, you may use certain options of the Warranty menu.
When the User parameters are not set for using EVA, the Warranty menu is not displayed.

Note: The forms of the EVA client software are not described in detail. Therefore, we refer to the documentation of EVA.
To access the EVA Warranty menu (two possibilities):
Click the EVA button.
Open the menu Links.
Click the Utilities options.
Click the Warranty option.
The EVA Vehicle details option is available in the Warranty menu when:
You have the Identity (registration) including the Chassis number of the vehicle available on the work order (Autoline system).
You have the required access rights of EVA for a specific dealer code, which is attached to the vehicle in EVA.
You have access rights determined by user permissions of EVA.
You are connected to EVA.
With the EVA vehicle details option you can access the Vehicle information form of EVA.
The Import vehicle details option is available in the Warranty menu when:
You have the Identity (registration) including the Chassis number of the vehicle available on the work order (Autoline system).
You have the required access rights of EVA for a specific dealer code, which is attached to the vehicle in EVA.
You have access rights determined by user permissions of EVA.
You are connected to EVA.
Note: It is possible to open the Imported vehicle details form automatically, when an existing work order is opened. You have to tick the Direct display of vehicle short info field of the User parameters.
With the Import vehicle details option you can access the Imported vehicle details form.
The Damage history option is available in the Warranty menu when:
You have the Identity (registration) including the Chassis number of the vehicle available on the work order (Autoline system).
You have the required access rights of EVA for a specific dealer code, which is attached to the vehicle in EVA.
You have access rights determined by user permissions of EVA.
You are connected to EVA.
With the Damage history option, you can access the Vehicle information form of EVA and display directly the tab that contains the damage history of the requested vehicle.
The Create eskulab request option is available in the Warranty menu when:
You have the Identity (registration) including the Chassis number of the vehicle available on the work order (Autoline system).
You have the required access rights of EVA for a specific dealer code, which is attached to the vehicle in EVA.
You have access rights determined by user permissions of EVA.
You are connected to EVA.
No complete invoice is created for the specific work order.
With the Create eskulab request option, you can access the New ESKULAB request form of EVA. On this form a user can create ESKULAB requests.
All of the available vehicle information of the concerning work order in Autoline is send to EVA, so that some of the fields on the New ESKULAB request form of EVA are already filled with the right information.
The View all requests option is available in the Warranty menu when:
You have access rights determined by user permissions of EVA.
You are connected to EVA.
With the View all requests option you can access the ESKULAB Overview form of EVA.
If you have entered a vehicle on the work order in Autoline, only the ESKULAB requests regarding to the given vehicle are displayed on the ESKULAB Overview form of EVA.
If you have an empty work order, all existing ESKULAB requests are displayed on the ESKULAB Overview form of EVA.
The Check before invoicing option is available in the Warranty menu when:
You have the Identity (registration) including the Chassis number of the vehicle available on the work order (Autoline system).
The work order (Autoline system) is saved so you have an existing the work order number is.
You have the required access rights of EVA for a specific dealer code, which is attached to the vehicle in EVA.
The work order (Autoline system) contains one or more order lines and at least one damage code is attached to an order line.
You have access rights determined by user permissions of EVA.
You are connected to EVA.
No complete invoice is created for the specific work order.
This option gives you the opportunity to check the concerning claim before the invoicing to warranty takes place. EVA returns then the amounts that are accepted on the submitted claim and if errors occurred the regarding error information.
With the Check before invoicing option, you can access the Claim validation form.
The VEGA retail option is always available in the Warranty menu.
This option gives you the opportunity to check what claims are found for the specific work order.
With the VEGA retail option, you can access the Vega Retail form. When more than one claim is found the Claims found form is opened. You can select the required claim and click OK to continue. The Vega Retail form is opened.
The form has the same functionality as if you were not using EVA. Thus, only the EVA specific options are described.

To access the Vega Retail program for all warranty claims available:
Select from the Main menu the Manufacturer systems option, combined with the MB company.
The Mercedes-Benz Main Menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Main Menu, the Menu - Service option.
The Mercedes-Benz Service menu is displayed.
Select form the Mercedes-Benz Service menu, the Menu - Warranty SEAG/VEGA option.
The Mercedes-Benz Warranty menu is displayed.
Select from the Mercedes-Benz Service menu, the Vega claim maintenance option.
The Vega Retail form is displayed.
Via clicking Open claim you can search for the claims you want to work on.
Note: This form is equal to the Vega Retail form of the Warranty menu in Point of Sale.
Tip: You can also access all warranty claims available via an empty work order and then selecting the VEGA retail option of the Warranty menu.
The Set dealer code option is available in the Warranty menu when:
You have access rights determined by user permissions of EVA.
You are connected to EVA.
With the Set dealer code option, you can select a dealer code. The selected dealer code is used for every interaction with EVA. At the moment we can store the maximum of two dealer codes in the parameters of Autoline, whereas the number of dealer codes returned by EVA can be greater than two.
EVA returns the default dealer code, which is ticked when creating a work order.
When adding a vehicle to the work order, the linked family group to the baumuster of that vehicle determines the required dealer code from the parameters of Autoline. This found dealer code is then ticked.
The Connect to EVA option is available in the Warranty menu when:
You are not connected to EVA.
Note: In case of the alternative login you need to log on to EVA as described in the Start the EVA client application section. You must use the Connect to EVA option to complete the initialisation process of the current EVA session.
With the Connect to EVA option, you can start the initialization process to get the EVA client up and running.
