Introduction

When a used-vehicle becomes available via a trade-in, a UVS-In record is created in the Vehicle Stockbooks module.

The UVS-In records are checked for correctness on a daily basis. This check includes ensuring the correct fields have been captured and verifying the new information against previous information sent to the UVS-In database. After the check is completed, an update will automatically be sent to the UVS-In database.

The Top-Down Calculation is used in the Manufacturer Systems module. The user has a high flexibility regarding the selection of cost positions and how they are calculated.

This Top-Down Calculation of trade-in cars depends on the split in VAT-registered or Non-VAT-registered cars (Margin Cars).

Management can define, and set, certain cost positions for salesmen.

Setting Up UVS-In

Before you can send UVS-In records to the UVS-In interface you must, you must ensure that you set up the UVS-In program, UVS-In Parameters and UVS-In Tables, in Autoline correctly. This is usually carried out by, or on advice from, a consultant.

Setting Up Top-Down Calculation

You can setup the older UVS-In Trade-in Calculation default parameters in the Mercedes-Benz parameter configuration utility or the newer Top Down Calculation Parameters.

These parameters contain the defaults used by the Top Down Calculation form.

Note: Make sure the users concerned can value trade-ins via Trade-ins tab of the Salesperson settings form.
