Using VEGA

The whole process of creating a claim, completing the claim, passing the plausibility check, sending the claim is explained below.

After the WIP is invoiced, the claim is created and you enter the VEGA-Retail module. Before you can transmit the claim you need to:

Complete the claim

Complete the claim by completing the information on the tab-pages and add and assign the damagecodes to the lines.

Adding damagecodes to a claim

Damagecodes can already be assigned to the labourlines from the WIS-module in Point-of-Sale. In that case the damagecode will automatically be taken over to the Vega-Retail claim.

If the damagecodes have not been retrieved from the WIS system, they can be added on the damagecodes-tabpage. Using the Add-New button, a damagecode can be selected from the DSM-damagecode file by clicking the Search-button. This can also be done by clicking the WIS-button after which the WIS system is started.

After adding the correct damagecodes to a claim, you must assign them to a claimline.

Plausibility check on claim

When the claim is completed and the damagecodes are assigned to the lines, you must check the claim on plausibility. This option checks the claim on missing or wrong information. When errors are corrected, it is possible to transmit the claim.

Release VEGA-Retail claim for transmission

To send a claim to the manufacturer, select the File-transmit button. This option will, release and store the claim in the Vega-transmission file, which will be sent via a parameter-driven mechanism to it's destination.

After the file is released within the VEGA Retail program, the claim becomes available for transmission.

To actually send the claim off, you must:

Now the claim is put in the transmission directory. The warning you get says "Previous SEAG transmission-file not physically send to MB, run datacommunication first!". As this warning says, the claim is ready to be send off. To physically send the claim to the manufacturer you must:

Tip: It is possible and to be recommended to sequence the "VEGA transmission procedure" and the "Physically sending of the claim" in the END of DAY procedure.

After releasing the claim for transmission, the Credit-tab page becomes visible on which the claim-number and release-date are shown. Until credit- or reject information is received, no changes can be made to the claim.

When you receive credit- or reject information, the claim status will change and the information will be added to the claim on the credit-info tab.
