Service Schedule

Overview

The Vehicle Service Schedule Item form is accessed by carrying out the following procedures:

In much the same way as the Create/Break Schedule Link form this form enables the facility to create, or break, a link between a service schedule item and a maintenance approval or POS job.

This option is typically a management tool used to break a link that has been made in error or create a link where one has been missed.

This form is constituted of five elements, which are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.

Menu Bar

The content of the Vehicle Service Schedule Item menu bar is as follows:

Exit

Exits the current form and returns to the Authorisation form.

Help

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.

Toolbar

The content of the Vehicle Service Schedule Item toolbar is as follows:

Exits the current form and returns to the Authorisation form.

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.

Vehicle Service Schedule Item Dialogue Box

The Vehicle Service Schedule Item Dialogue Box contains the following data:

The Reason For Repair service item code / Schedule Item Reason.

The odometer interval for when the occurrence of this schedule repair item is due.

The date calculated from the odometer interval for when the occurrence of this schedule repair item is due. The system is continually calculating an estimated odometer usage based on the registration date and the latest odometer reading/date taken held against the vehicle. From this it can calculate a daily odometer distance travelled and therefore calculate the date on which the next odometer scheduled event is to take place.

The date calculated from the registration date for when the occurrence of this schedule repair item is due.

Command Buttons

The following command buttons are available:

Create the link between the current approval and a scheduled event by displaying the Approval Schedule List Box form from which to select the appropriate scheduled event. This command button is only enabled if there is no currently linked scheduled item to the approval.

Breaks the link between the current approval and a scheduled event. This command button is only enabled if there is a currently linked scheduled item to the approval.
