Edit Batch

Overview

This import process is required to load the file received from from the supplier into a working area within Kestrel. Selection of the Edit Batch command button enables an imported tyre transaction batch file to be edited i.e. to rectify certain key fields for particular records.

What do you want to do?

To access the Edit Batch form:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Maintenance Control option and Company required.

    The Maintenance Control menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Miscellaneous Options option.

    The Miscellaneous Options form is displayed.

  3. Select the Tyre Import Menu option.

    The Tyre Import Menu is displayed.

  4. Select the Import Tyre File option.

    The Tyre Import File form is displayed.

  5. Select the Edit Batch command button.

    The Edit Batch form is displayed.

Edit Batch form

This form is divided into three parts that are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar displays a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.

Edit Batch Dialogue Box

Contains the following fields (present on the imported .csv tyre file in order to locate the required file for editing:

Batch ID: The Batch ID e.g. week number

Batch Year: The Batch Year e.g. 2005

COMMAND BUTTONS:

The full list of command buttons is as follows:

Edit: Displays the BATCH.csv Summaries form which displays a breakdown of Matched and Unmatched transaction records for the selected tyre transaction batch file. The objective of this form being that the Unmatched records should then be interrogated and one or more of the six key fields edited so that the records then matches.

Exit: Exits the current form and returns to the Tyre Import File form.

Help: Displays online context-sensitive help using the default browser.
