Used to define the fields and criteria in order to build a ruleset which allows the system to automatically approve, reject or refer approval requests via the Internet.
To access the Web Auto-Approval Parameters (Rules Tab):
From the Master Menu, select the Maintenance Control option and Company required.
The Maintenance Control menu is displayed.
Select the System Maintenance option.
The System Maintenance menu form is displayed.
Select the Web Auto-Approve Rules option.
The Web Auto-Approval Parameters form is displayed.
Select the Rules Tab.
This tab defines whar is done with the approval request. The following fields are displayed:
Open Parenthesis: Defines the start of the selection string.
Field: Selection of the
button allows selection of the field on which the rule is to be based.
Operand: Determines the calculation to be used on the selected field. Selection of the
Value: Allows a value to be entered for the selected Field and Operand combination. For certain fields the
button is enables to allows selection from pre-existing tables.
Close Parenthesis: Defines the start of the selection string.
And/Or: Enables a further condition to be linked to the rule using an And or Or value.
Action: A series of 3 mutually exclusive option/radio buttons that determine what action is to be taken for the approval when the rule is met (or not); these are Accept; Reject or Refer.
Ruleset List box: Displays the currently created/operational rules. A single-left-click displays a pop-up sub-menu which enables the following actions:
Edit Rule
Delete Rule
Move Rule to top
Move Rule up
Move Rule down
Move Rule to bottom
