The Tab simply consists of an area that displays a review all the previous work that has been carried out against the selected vehicle. The information is shown in summary format. For an extended analysis of maintenance history repair items a single-right-click on any maintenance history row enables this item to be reviewed or, if not yet posted, recalled in full.
To access the History Tab:

The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.

Select the History Tab.
Tip: On first accessing the tab the history grid is sorted in date order with the most recent history items displayed first. Notice the arrow pointing upwards in the grey column header. A single-left-click of the column header reverses the direction of the arrow and the history items are now displayed in reverse order i.e. the oldest items being displayed first. The following columns also utilise this sort function: Odo, Repairer, Class, Op, RTS, Description and Approval.
Most of the information shown on the history listing is similar to the approval information. Working left to right the information displayed for each history item is as follows:
Date: The repair date of the maintenance history item (This is not the invoice date unless they both happen to be the same).
Odo: The odometer reading taken from the invoice. This should be the same as the reading recorded on the approval initially. Provided it is the latest recorded reading, this odometer reading updates the vehicle record at the time the invoice is posted.
Repairer: The Company Record code for the repairer.
Class: The repair class code for the maintenance item. Class codes are accessed via Fleet Kompact / Miscellaneous Options.
Op: The approval operation code code for the maintenance item. Operation codes are accessed via Fleet Kompact / Miscellaneous Options.
RTS: The RTS code for the maintenance repair line.
Description: This is the associated RTS description for the repair that was carried out.
Value: This is the cost of the repair. The cost on the default system is made up of both parts and labour cost, minus any amount recharged to the customer. It is therefore the net cost against the vehicle.
Recharge: If all, or part of the cost, is recharged to a third party then the recharge value is displayed in this column.
T: A checkbox which, if ticked, denotes that this approval history record has Text notes against it.
Approval: The approval number of the maintenance history item.
R: A checkbox which, if ticked, denotes that this approval has been rejected.
P: A checkbox which contains one of the following values:
Code Description R Denotes recharge posted P Denotes purchase posted Denotes both purchase and recharge posted. Note: A purchase cannot be posted if the approval is rejected but the system still allows the posting of the recharge.
TIP: A single-right-click on any maintenance history row enables this item to be reviewed or re-analysed in full by presenting the following mini-menu:
Enables the constituent parts of the maintenance history item to be reviewed.
Enables the recall of a history item so that the constituent parts may be edited.
