Progress

Overview

This form is accessed for creation of a new progress code against an order.

Progress codes may be used within the Order Tab to progress the order of individual specification items for the ordered vehicle. All progress records are then subsequently displayed in the Progress Tab.

To access the progress form:

  1. From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.

    The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Contract Management option.

    The Contract Management form is displayed.

  3. Select the Open icon.

    The Contract Search form is displayed.

  4. Enter the appropriate information to locate the required agreement.

  5. Select the Edit icon.

  6. Select the Purchasing shortcut from the menu on the left of the form.

  7. The contract management Order Tab is displayed.

  8. Single-right-click on a specification line/row and select Progress from the pop-up sub-menu. Once created, this form may also be accessed via the Progress Tab (within the Order area) by a single-left-click on a progress item line.

Progress Form

This form is split into six parts that are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of other useful identification criteria and buttons.

Menubar and Toolbar

File > Exit Exit Exits the current form and returns to the previous menu. If the record has not been saved then the user is prompted to confirm that they wish to save and exit the agreement or cancel.
File > Properties Save Displays a number of basic record properties for audit purposes such as the record number, created date and user id of the person who created the record.
Tools > Complete postorder.gif Used to flag that the progress item has been completed. If applicable, the system then prompts if the user would like to create the next logical progress record (defined within the Progress Codes setup. Once completed, a tick icon is displayed in the Progress Tab in place of the post-it icon.
Reports > Order, Agreements, Maintenance, Terminations, Customers This menu option provides access to a number of reports (and Quick Mail - a pre-defined email relevant to the specific area from which it is accessed). Once written within RepGen an [...] button may be used to located and select these reports for inclusion within this menu list within the appropriate area column in the Quick Reports Tab within Fleet Kompact / System Maintenance / System Parameters. The required email format for inclusion in this menu list is defined within ??? Quick Mail field (where ??? denotes the appropriate area).
Admin > Administrator Administrator Accesses Administrator mail and diary functions.
Admin > CRM CRM Accesses the CRM module and its associated Company, Customer and Vehicle records.
Help > Help Provides online access to context sensitive help for the current application using the default browser.

Status Bar

The Status Bar provides the current status of the progress item for example, Progress Outstanding, Complete, etc.

Progress Dialogue Box

This following progress information is displayed:

Progress

Type: Progress code enabling the current status of the selected specification item to be tracked during purchasing for example, Delayed, Painters, etc. Selection of the [...] button displays the currently available codes (defined within the Progress Table within Miscellaneous Options).

Due Date: Date on which the selected progress item is due for completion.

User: User id of the person responsible for completing the progress task.

Set To Me: Command button which enables the user to quickly allocate the progress task to themself rather than searching for their own user id.

Notes: Five lines of 70 characters for entry of free format text associated with the selected task.

Next Progress

Type: Suggested follow-up progress code to the current progress code. This code is automatically displayed as a follow-up action in this form. Selection of the [...] button displays the currently available codes (defined within the Progress Table within Miscellaneous Options).

Due Date: Date on which the selected follow-up progress item is due for completion.

User: User id of the person responsible for completing the folow-up progress task.

Set To Me: Command button which enables the user to quickly allocate the follow-up progress task to themself rather than searching for their own user id.
