This process enables the transfer of vehicle records from the fleet Kompact module to the Vehicle Stockbooks module.
If the Transfer to VSB checkbox is ticked on in the General Group
Box of the General 2 Tab then the
icon is added to the
Kompact agreement Terminations form which when selected displays the
Transfer to VSB form which initiates the transfer to
VSB.
The fields populated in the Transfer to VSB form (plus several additional fields) update the Kompact record and are used to populate the automatically created VSB record. On transfer the system makes 4 postings in to the nominal (based on the new posting slots in the Terminations Tab of the Posting Table and the way that these are set up). During the transfer process the kompact record is Terminated and the Vehicle Rental vehicle record Available for Hire flag is set to No. The used stock record that is created is automatically set to the account status defined within with the VSB Xfer Status field in the General Group Box of the General 2 Tab (e.g. Purchased) and the relevant vehicle spec file entry for the transferred vehicle.
Note: This form is only enabled if the Location
field is populated in the Remarketing Tab. This a
mandatory field because it cannot be edited within VSB and postings are generated from it. Only
when this field is populated is the
icon enabled to display this form and initiate the VSB transfer.
To access Transfer to VSB:
From the Master Menu, select the Fleet Kompact option and Company required.
The Kestrel Kompact Menu is displayed.
Select the Contract Management option.
The Contract Management form is displayed.
Select the 
icon.
The Contract Search form is displayed.
Enter the appropriate information to locate the required agreement.
Select the 
icon.
Select the 
shortcut from the menu on the left of the form.
The Termination Tab is displayed.
Select the Remarketing Tab
Enter a valid Location code
.Select the icon
and the Transfer to VSB form is displayed.

The following fields are displayed:
Actual Cap. Cost: The capital cost of the vehicle. A system generated value. This field cannot be edited.
Accumulated Depreciation: The depreciation of the vehicle over the life of the agreement. A system generated value. This field cannot be edited.
Current WDV: The current written down value of the vehicle. A system generated value i.e. Actual Cap. Cost less Accumulated Depreciation. This field cannot be edited.
Transfer Value: The value that the vehicle is bought in to VSB stock at.
