RATESBOOKs EXCEPTIONS

Overview

Selection of Exceptions from the View Menu Bar option or icon within the Ratesbooks form presents a Ratesbooks Exceptions form which enables analysis of all vehicle variants which have not met the established selection criteria and as such are not subsequently displayed in the Output Tab.

This form is split into four parts which are as follows:

Title Bar

In addition to displaying the form name the Title Bar provides a number of useful buttons.

Menu Bar

The content of the Ratesbooks Exceptions menu bar is as follows:

• File

This presents the following menu option:

• Exit

Exits the current form and returns to the Output Tab of the Ratesbooks form.

• Help

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.

Toolbar

The content of the Ratesbooks Exceptions Toolbar is as follows:

Exits the current form and returns to the Output Tab of the Ratesbooks form.

Provides online access to a context sensitive Help form.

Exceptions List Box

The List Box displays all vehicle variants which have not met the established selection criteria. The following columns of information are displayed:

• Manufacturer

Displays the vehicle manufacturer description imported from the default data source or (in the case of Vehicles which are created manually) the description which has been entered in the Franchise Data form.

• Model

Displays the vehicle model description imported from the default data source or (in the case of Vehicles which are created manually) the description which has been entered in the Franchise Data form.

• Description

Displays the full vehicle variant description imported from the default data source or (in the case of Vehicles which are created manually) the description which has been entered in the Franchise Data form.

• Variant

Displays the vehicle variant code imported from the default data source or (in the case of Vehicles which are created manually) the code which has been entered in the Franchise Data form.

• Reason

Displays the reason why a particular vehicle variant has not met the required selection criteria and has subsequently not been displayed within the Output Tab. Some typical reasons are as follows:

Rentals 505.09 outside of range for Profile 1

No RV table found

If the List Box contains more options than the box can display, the form presents a Scroll Bar for viewing the remaining exceptions. This can be operated in a number of ways:

• Holding down the up/down arrow to control movement up and down the List Box

• Positioning the mouse pointer over the Scroll Box, hold down the left mouse button, and move the mouse. The mouse pointer moves, dragging the Scroll Box. Move the Scroll Box to the desired location and release the left mouse button.

• Position the mouse pointer over the Scroll Bar. Single-click with the mouse, above or below the Scroll Box depending upon the intended direction, as many times as is required to move the Scroll Box up or down to the desired location.
