Note: This help system contains standard information, some of which might not apply to your franchise. There might be a help file specific to your Autoline configuration. It could be either in the help system specific to your manufacturer, or displayed when you click the Help button on the relevant form or menu.

Note: You can create, amend or delete records in the labour time codes file. However, if the manufacturer issues updates to labour codes and times, any changes that you make are overwritten when the new file is uploaded.
This form is displayed when you select the Labour codes file option from the Labour Code menu.
Labour time code: Identifies a labour operation for the manufacturer
Description (1-6): Type of repair entered on the WIP when you enter a line using this Labour time code
VAT rate: Must be a valid VAT code created in Nominal Ledger VAT codes and VAT rates
Unit description: For reference only, this has no effect. Typical values are Hour, Each and Ltre. When the labour code is used, the unit of labour is printed against the unit charge on any documents raised in Point-of-Sale.
Mins per unit: Number of minutes in the unit of labour. For example, if HOUR is the Unit description, Mins per unit is normally 60.
Note: Sales values are calculated as the allowed time multiplied by the labour rate per hour multiplied by Mins per unit divided by 60.
Dummy Values, Ignore: Not used
Labour rates: If this is blank, any labour rate code can be used in Point-of-Sale. If more than one code is entered, the system validates the code entered on the Labour page against this list and warns you if it is not valid. If only one code is used, the system overwrites the code entered on the Labour page with the code entered here. Labour rate codes are created in the Point-of-Sale Miscellaneous options, Labour rates option.
Load group: Load group applicable to this labour item. The resource group is created in the Workshop Loading Resource group maintenance option.
Deflt time allowed: Default allowed time for the labour code. If required, you can specify different allowed times for various vehicle models in a table. If a vehicle not contained in the vehicle models table is subsequently loaded onto a WIP, the system uses the default allowed time entered here. The allowed time may be altered at the time a job is booked in or at the time of costing the job.
Note: If the Disable time allowed field on 'Labour Details' form in P.O.S.? check box on the Miscellaneous tab of the Labour code setup parameters form is selected, you cannot amend the Time allowed value (unless it is zero) after it has been loaded on the WIP.
Alternative code: Any secondary labour time codes supplied by the manufacturer. This code is used in Point-of-Sale as an alternative to the labour time code.
SRW payment element: Not used
Manual input code?: One of:
Y: Manually-created labour time codes
N (or blank): Not manually created
Date modified: Date when the labour time code was created, if it was input manually, or when it was imported
