System Controls

The System Controls option is only available to priority 9 users. Standard functionality exists that allows you to maintain records for the selected BE company.

Warning: Incorrect use of these options can corrupt your system.

To access the BE system controls:

  1. From the Rev.8 Master Menu, select the Bodyshop estimating interface option and Company required.

    The BODYSHOP ESTIMATING main menu is displayed.

  2. Select the System maintenance option.

    The BE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu is displayed.

  3. Select the System controls option.

    The BE System Controls form is displayed.

BE System Controls Form

This form is displayed when you select the System controls option from the BE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE menu.

The BE System Controls form comprises two areas: The Company Identifier field and the System Controls Tab.

Company Identifier: The two-character identifier for the subsystem that supplied the code.

System Controls Tab

Next Estimate ID: The next available unique record number to be used by the system when creating new estimate details in BE data files. Only visible to the user via reporting options.

Next Address Magic: The next available unique record number to be used by the system when new Bodyshop Address file records need to be created via the Estimate Maintenance and Import Estimate functions. Visible to the user when selecting the Address Maintenance option from the Miscellaneous menu ( Magic [UNIQUE] column).

Development Mode: This tick-box is no longer used.
