Damage Location Codes Form

This form is displayed on selecting the Damage location codes option from the Warranty file maintenance menu. It enables maintenance of warranty damage location code records.

Note: The damage location codes file is normally set up by, or on advice from, a consultant. It is unlikely that you will need to change it unless advised to do so by the manufacturer. Any changes you make will be overwritten the next time an update is uploaded from the manufacturer.

GRID:

Location code: Identifies a component or system in a vehicle

Note: Damage Location code constitutes the first two digits of the composite Damage code on the Ford warranty claim information form's Repair details tab.

Description: Text associated with a component or system in a vehicle, for example Fuel cap/cover or Exhaust system

Code group: Identifies a broad vehicular component or assembly to which the Location code belongs
