The first time the warranty system is used, the Service and Repair Claims form must be displayed in order to create the basic warranty files and set up the default parameters. Once this has been done, the parameters can be customised as necessary.

The Ford Operations menu is displayed.
Select Ford OWS.
The Ford GWE Claims menu is displayed.
Select Service and repair claims.
One of the following will happen:
If only one company is available to you, the Ford OWS Claims form is displayed.
If more than one company is available, select the one you want and Ford OWS Claims form is displayed.
If you need to create a new company, the Dealer code form is displayed.
Note: The new parameters files are generated and saved to the system the first time you perform this function. These can then be customised per franchise.
The first time you use the warranty system, if no dealer codes have been set up, the Dealer Code form is displayed in order to set up a new dealer code. If more than one dealer code is needed, more can be created via the Warranty Parameters form.
Dealer Code Group
Dealer code: The main dealer code for this company.
Vehicle franchise: (optional). Used where multiple franchise codes are used by the same manufacturer and each one has a different dealer code. For example, one dealer code for cars and another for motorbike.
POS department: (optional). Used when a different dealer code is used for warranty claims than is used for over-the-counter parts claims.
Application: (optional and normally left blank). Used if more than one type of warranty product exists in a single franchise.
Buttons:
OK: Creates the dealer code and displays the Warranty Parameters form.
Cancels: Cancels any information input into the form and returns to the Ford GWE Claims menu.
