Damage Conditions and Areas

The damage conditions and areas option can be accessed from the The Loan Vehicle Options Menu. This option is the default template for the damage recorded against a loan vehicle from within CRM or Point of Sale.

Note: The system will have standard damage area and conditions. Within this option can add, edit and delete damage area and condition information for use within CRM and Point of Sale by clicking on the condition grid.

Selected damage area

Click into an area on the vehicle and the damaged marker will display e.g., the front right hand tyre.

Area: The area number will display, followed by the description e.g., 24 Front right Tyre.

Group: Will display the group of the damage codes, e.g., T Tyre, G Glass D Damage

Conditions

When the damaged marker displays e.g., click into the front right hand tyre. The standard conditions will displays e.g., 1. Worn, 2. Punctured 3. Blown out.

To Add an option click into the grid and select add. The damage condition form will be displayed. The group field will be populated e.g., T. Enter a code e.g., 4. This must be a unique combination. Enter a description e.g., Bulge. The option will now be available to select within CRM or Point of Sale modules.

To Amend an option click into the grid and select amend. The damage condition form will be displayed. Edit the group, code or description. The amended option will now be available to select within CRM or Point of Sale modules.

Warning: Care should be taken when deleting damage conditions. If damage condition has been recorded against Demo or Courtesy vehicles it should be removed before using the delete option.

To Delete an option click into the grid and select delete. The damage condition form will be displayed. Click on Delete and a message will display "Are you sure you want to delete this condition". Click on Yes and the option will be removed. Click on No and take the option to Close the form.

Menu and Tool Bars

The options available from both the menu bar and tool bar are:-

Save

Allows you to save damage areas and conditions after changes have been made.

Exit

Allows you to exit the Vehicle damage areas and conditions maintenance form and return to the Loan Vehicle Options Menu.
Help

Allows you to view help on the current application.

Close

Allows you to close the damage condition form and return to the Vehicle damage areas and condition maintenance form without saving any changes.

Delete

Allows you to delete damage areas and conditions.
