The Maintain P14 records option allows you to display or amend historic data used when submitting magnetic media returns.
Warning: Magnetic media filing options are no longer supported within the payroll package having been replaced by internet filing.
Standard functionality exists that allows you to display and amend records.
To access Maintain P14 records
The Payroll Password form is displayed.
Enter your payroll password.
The PAYROLL menu is displayed.
Select the Miscellaneous options option.
Select the Reports & enquiries option.
The PR REPORTS AND ENQUIRIES menu is displayed.
Select the Year-end reports menu option.
The PAYROLL YEAR-END REPORTS menu is displayed.
Select the Magnetic media options option.
The MAGNETIC MEDIA END OF YEAR menu is displayed.
Select the Maintain P14 records option.
The P14 form is displayed.
The P14 form is displayed when you select the Maintain P14 records option from the MAGNETIC MEDIA END OF YEAR menu.
To display a P14 record enter the employee number and tax year.
To amend a P14 record enter the employee number and tax year and click the Amend button.
Employee number: The individual number allocated to each employee. The employee number together with the tax year are the unique fields for each P14 record and therefore every P14 record must have an employee number and tax year.
Tip :
Click the Ellipsis button to search for an employee number from the P14 records file by either a surname search or a word search. The search will only list those employees that you have the correct security within the employee record module to access the employee. This location security based on the location and grade fields on the employee record is optional and used throughout the payroll module.
Tax year: The four digit starting tax year, for example, 2000 is the starting tax year for the PAYE 2000/2001 tax year.
Tip :
Click on the Drop down to select a previous P14 year.
The P14 record contains fields from the employee record and payroll records. Refer to the help files for further guidance.
