When a claim is created containing non-franchise products (lubricants or tyres, for example) the payee requires a categorisation of these parts. The coding structure is usually defined by the parts supplier.

This form is displayed when you select the Non-franchise product types option from the PGCS Claims menu.
Note: It is unlikely that you will need to make changes to the non-franchise part types file unless advised to do so by the parts supplier. Any changes you make will be overwritten the next time the file is updated by the parts supplier.
Code: Identifies a non-franchise-specific product type
Description: Summarises the form and/or function of a non-franchise-specific product type
Applicable franchise: Franchise to which the non-franchise product type applies
Part/Labour/Both: Specifies whether the product type referred to is a part, a labour item, or combination of the two
