Note: The Technician rate codes option is not currently used.
The Technician Rate codes are used in conjunction with the Point-of-Sale parameter Labour rate option 4 which allows you to invoice WIPs using the technician rate when this parameter is selected. Different rates can be set up for different skills so, when the work is invoiced, the customer is charged by the rate of the technician set for that particular skill against the RTS code.
To access technician rate codes:
The WORKSHOP LOADING menu is displayed.
Select Miscellaneous options.
The WL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.
Select the Technician rate codes option.
The Technician Rate Codes form is displayed.
The Technician Rate Codes form is displayed when you select the Technician rate codes option from the WL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu. From this form you can create and maintain technician rate codes.
Rate code: Enter the rate code to be used. This is a single-character code which can be alphanumeric.
Rate description: Enter the rate code description to be used.
Rate amount: Enter the rate amount to be charged.
