This option is only visible when KABA clocks are enabled in the WL System Parameters. The Bcommio and Bciopipe processes are necessary to communicate clocking entries from the clock(s) to the data file on the server. They are normally started when the server is booted up, so this option should be rarely used.
Note: This option can only be run on UNIX operating systems. NT systems should use WinBcomm to manage these processes.
To check the KABA BCommio Daemon:
The WORKSHOP LOADING menu is displayed.
Select Miscellaneous options.
The WL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.
Select the Check KABA Bcommio daemon option.
The Check and start Bcommio process for KABA form is displayed.
The system automatically checks for the presence of both processes.
If for some reason either or both processes are not running, click the Start button to start them manually.
The Bcommio process starts more or less immediately, followed by the Bciopipe about 20 seconds later. The program then monitors the processes until the program is aborted.
Warning: After using this option, you must log out of the system before commencing any other actions. Failure to do so will result in the death of the two processes just started.
This form is displayed when you select the Check KABA BCommio daemon option from the WL MISCELLANEOUS MENU. From this form you can start the BCommio and the BCiopipe daemon processes, if necessary.
BUTTONS:
Start: Starts the BCommio and the BCiopipe daemon processes.
Exit: Returns you to the WL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu.
Help: Displays help on the application in your default browser.
