The option Adjust Clockings, within Workshop Loading, enables you to adjust a technician's clockings. All adjustments are recorded along with the user id, and selection is by Technician and Date. The Adjust Clockings program allows you to amend, or create, clockings for technicians clocking in and out.
To amend a clocking record:
From the Autoline Master Menu, select the Workshop loading option and Company you require.
The WORKSHOP LOADING MENU is displayed.
Select Miscellaneous options.
The WL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu is displayed.
Select the Adjust Clockings option.
The Clocking Adjustments form is displayed.
Select the required Technician from the drop-down list.
The Technician's name is displayed.
Enter the clocking Date and click Load.
A list of clocking records is displayed.
Click the line to be adjusted (select the clocking record that you want to amend).
The following buttons are enabled: Insert, Amend, Delete, and Add.
Click Amend.
Tip: Alternatively, double-click the clocking record that you want to amend.
The selected clocking record is highlighted.
The Amend Clocking Entry form is displayed, and you are taken through the Amend Clocking Entry form (click the Amend Clocking Entry form link for help on the form).
This form is displayed when you select the Adjust Clockings option from the WL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu. From this form, you can amend a clocking record.
Technician: Technician's name, taken from a list of all the technicians available in Workshop Loading
Previous out: Last time and date when the technician clocked out
Next in: Next time and date when the technician clocked in
Date: Date required to load the clockings for the technician
PUSH BUTTON:
Load: Produces the required clockings in the adjustment grid

Error: Records created when Offline clocking errors have been made Tip: The Errors are also recorded in the Clocking device errors report, which needs to be checked regularly.
Clocking Adjustments Grid:
In: Time at which the technician clocked in
WIP: The WIP number
Line: The WIP line number for the task
Idle: Idle code used
Out: Time at which the technician clocked out
Reason: The reason why the technician clocked off a task - for example: Waiting labour, or Completed
Note: If you are using the new clocking touchscreen, you may get the description Offline clocking failure. This may be because the user has clocked to an incorrect WIP number or line number (see the Adjustment description). The clocking must be amended so that it ends up on the correct WIP.
Factor: The factor used to determine the technicians hourly cost.
Adjustment: The reason why the clocking was adjusted; who adjusted it, and the date and time when it was adjusted
PUSH BUTTONS:
Exit: Returns you to the WL MISCELLANEOUS OPTIONS menu
Help: Displays help on the current program using the default browser
Insert: When you have selected a line, opens the Create Clocking Entry form
Amend: When you have selected a line, opens the Amend Clocking Entry form
Delete: When you have selected a line, opens the Delete Clocking Entry form
Add: When you have selected a technician and the date required to add a clocking record, opens the Create Clocking Entry form
This form is displayed when you click the Amend button on the Clocking Adjustments form. From the Amend Clocking Entry form, you can amend a clocking record, and are advised of the earliest or latest times that can be clocked, to avoid de-synchronising clockings. You are taken through the following tabs:
TABS:
Enter the relevant information and tab off, or enter.
The Finish button is enabled.
Click Finish or Back, as required.
If Finish is selected, the adjustment is made, and the respective lines updated.
When you amend a clocking entry, the original times are entered by default into the Amend Clocking Entry form. Make the amendments and click Next.
Cannot be before # #.# #
This indicates when you can enter the time.

If the clocking is linked to a WIP, the WIP number and line number are displayed, and a radio (option) button selection of Active or Idle is offered. Select the appropriate option button and click Next.
OPTION BUTTONS:
Active: When you select a clocking to be amended, the WIP number and Line number from the original clocking are entered by default.
Idle: Enables you to select an Idle code from the drop-down
list
PUSH BUTTONS:
Cancel: Cancels any amendments made in the Amend Clocking Entry form
Back: Enables you to go back and amend the Amend Clocking Entry form
Next: Enables you to move on to the next step after all fields have been entered correctly
This tab is an analysis record of your clockings amendment. When you select a clocking to be amended, all the fields from the original clocking are entered by default.
Analysis: The analysis code set against the technician for this clocking. It may be amended by overtyping with a different analysis code. This is used by Report Generator for reporting purposes. User-defined.
Terminal: User-defined terminal. The terminal number of the user. The terminal being used is the default.
Team: The team for the selected technician. This may be amended by selecting the required team from the drop-down
list.
Shift: The shift for the selected technician. This may be amended by selecting the required shift from the drop-down
list.
Factor: The factor used to calculate the selected technicians hourly cost. This may be amended by selecting the required shift from the drop-down
list.
Hour cost: Resources cost per hour. The cost per hour of the technician selected is the default.
Note: When the clocking factor changed the ‘Hour cost’ is updated based on the clocking factor and the hourly cost from the resource record

When you amend a clocking entry, the original times are entered by default into the Amend Clocking Entry form. You are advised of the latest time that can be clocked for that task:

Indicates when you can enter the time. Enter the new time out and reason, and click Next.
Time: Time required. Time out default is the original line time.
Reason: Available only when you are amending a clocking entry. Select a reason from the drop-down
list. The default is the reason for the line.
Note: If you are amending an Offline clocking error a message is displayed telling you that the Clocking has failed. Reason set awaiting labour. This automatically changes the reason code to L Waiting labour so that you can change the Reason code to the status you require.

Enter the reason why the clocking entry has been adjusted.

Finish: This button is enabled when the Why [adjust] field is populated. Click it to finish the clocking entry. The entry is highlighted in the correct colour to indicate what has been done.
This form is displayed when you click the Insert or Add buttons when they become available. When a clocking is inserted or added, the entries are highlighted in green in the clocking adjustments grid.
Note: The Create Clocking Entry form is the same as the Amend Clocking Entry form.
To insert a clocking:
Select the required Technician from the drop-down list on the Clocking Adjustments Form, enter the date, and click Load.
All the clockings made by this technician on that particular day are loaded into the clocking adjustments grid.
Select a clocking entry in the clocking adjustments grid.
The Insert button is enabled.
Click Insert.
The Create Clocking Entry form is displayed.
To add a clocking:
Select the required Technician from the drop-down list on the Clocking Adjustments Form, enter the date, and click Load.
The Add button is enabled.
Click Add.
The Create Clocking Entry form is displayed.
Enter the reason why the clocking has been added or inserted.
Cancel: Cancels any amendments to the Create Clocking Entry form
Back: Enables you to go back and amend the Create Clocking Entry form
Finish: This button is enabled when the Why [create] field is populated. Click it to finish the clocking entry. The entry is highlighted in the correct colour to indicate what has been done in the Clockings Adjustments Form grid.
This form is displayed when you click the Delete button when it becomes available.
When a clocking is deleted, the entries are highlighted in red in the clocking adjustment grid.
To delete a clocking:
Select the required Technician from the drop-down list, enter the date required, and click the Load button.
All the clockings made by this technician on that particular date are loaded into the clocking adjustments grid.
Select a clocking entry in the clocking adjustments grid.
The Delete button is enabled.
Click Delete.
The Delete Clocking Entry form is displayed.
Enter the reason why the clocking entry has been deleted.
PUSH BUTTONS:
Cancel: Cancels any amendments made in the Delete Clocking Entry form
Back: This button is not active
Finish: This button is highlighted when the Why [delete] field is populated. Click it to finish the clocking entry. The entry is highlighted in the correct colour to indicate what has been done in the clockings adjustment form grid.
