Teams

Teams may be used to split the Technicians shown on the loading screens in Point-of-Sale. Technicians can be allocated to teams. The team records hold a Code, a Description,a Shortname and a Colour code for each valid team.

Teams Form

The Teams form is displayed when you select the Teams option from the WORKSHOP LOADING MENU. From this form you can create, amend or delete team records.

Order: Displays the order of the records.

Note: By default all records are sequenced in alphabetical order.

Code: The team identification code used in the range A-Z or 0-9.

Description: A description of the team, a 29 character alpha-numeric field.

Shortname: a 5 character alpha-numeric field.

PUSH BUTTONS

Exit: Returns you to the WORKSHOP LOADING MENU

Help: Displays help on the current application using the default browser.

Create: Allows you to create a new team record.

Amend: Allows you to amend a team record.

Delete: Allows you to delete a team record.

Sequence: Allows you to determine the sequence in which team records are displayed.

Creating a Team Record

If required, you can create a team record.

To create a team record:

  1. From the WORKSHOP LOADING MENU, select the Teams option.

    The Teams form is displayed.

  2. Click the Create button.

    The Create form is displayed.

  3. Enter the Code, the Description, the Shortname and select the Colour from the drop down menu.

  4. Click the OK button.

    The record is created.

Create Form

The Create form is displayed when you click the Create button on the Teams form. From this form you can create a new Team record completing the data fields and editing the team grid.

Field Descriptions

  1. Code: Enter an appropriate code in the range A-Z or 0-9.

  2. Description: Enter the description of the team, a 29 character alpha-numeric field.

  3. Shortname: Enter the shortname, a 5 character alpha-numeric field.

  4. Colour: Select the required colour from the drop down menu.

PUSH BUTTONS

OK: Applies any changes to the Teams form.

Cancel: Cancels the operation and returns you to the Teams form.

Amending a Team Record

If required, you can amend a team record.

To amend a team record:

  1. From the WORKSHOP LOADING MENU, select the Teams option.

    The Teams form is displayed.

  2. Position the cursor over the record that you want to amend, and click the Amend button.

    Tip: Alternatively, double-left click the record to select it.

    The Amend form is displayed.

  3. Amend the details as required.

  4. When you have completed your amendments, click the OK button.

    The changes are saved, you are returned to the Teams form.

Amend Form

The Amend form is displayed when you click the Amend button on the Teams form. From this form you can amend team records.

Tip: Alternatively, position the cursor over the record that you want to amend, and double-click the left mouse button.

Field Descriptions

  4. Colour: Select the required colour from the drop down menu.

OK: Resaves the record for the selected Shift record.

Cancel: Cancels the operation and returns you to the Shifts form.

Deleting a Team Record

If required, you can delete a team record.

To delete a team record:

  1. From the WORKSHOP LOADING MENU, select the Teams option.

    The Teams form is displayed.

  2. Position the cursor over the record that you want to delete, and click the Delete button.

    Tip: Alternatively, double-left click the record to select it.

    The Delete form is displayed.

  3. Click the OK button.

    The record is deleted, you are returned to the Teams form.

Delete Form

The Delete form is displayed when you click the Delete button on the Team form. From this form you can delete team records.

Note: None of the fields are editable.
