The Reset in-use flags program is normally run automatically by a Timed Operation. However, from time to time a user may exit from the Stock Checking module illegally, either through a power failure, or by turning off a terminal while still logged into the module, or due to some other hardware or software fault. If this happens, any files which the operator had open at the time will still be registered as in use. When a stand-alone routine is run, it checks first of all that none of the affected files are being used by another operator. In this sort of situation it is possible that the program will list certain files are still being used when in fact they no longer are.
Should this situation arise, and you are required to manually reset in-use flags, you must first verify the situation by using the Prevent/allow access program to display who the current users are and clear any illegal users. When this is done, run the Reset in-use flags program to correct the situation, which will access each of the WIP files and reset the in-use flag.
