Note: For instructions on using the other tabs and shortcuts on this form see the Introduction to My Desktop section.
The My WIPs tab provides access to a list of WIPs created for the same Point of Sale location as the user. It is not related to the list of customer on the My Customers tab. Each WIP can be expanded to display the order numbers and totals by clicking the + symbol at the start of the corresponding row. Clicking elsewhere on a row loads the record of the related customer, if applicable.
The following fields are displayed:
Tip: The list can be sorted by any of the above fields, by clicking on the column headings.
By default only the WIPs for vehicles due in today are displayed. The Date due in field can be used to view WIPs for other dates. After entering a date Press the Tab key to active this filter. Deleting the date displays all open WIPs.
Tip: WIPs saved at Memorandum status will not display within the results.
The other two fields are blank by default. The WIP status (Labour) field allows the list of WIPs to be filtered by status code. If installed, the Parts status field allows the list of WIPs to be filtered by parts status code. The Reg no field allows the list to be filtered to display only WIPs for a particular vehicle by entering a registration number. Press the Tab key to activate these filters.
An additional function is added to the My CRM Options menu and toolbar while viewing the My WIPs tab:
Menu Icon Description My CRM Options > Advanced filter Displays a form with four further options for filtering the list of WIPs: Company, Department, Operator (this will become Creating Operator (If installed)) and Owning Operator (If installed). Values can be selected for any or all of these criteria, or left blank to remove filtering.
Tip: Right clicking on the required WIP displays a sub menu with the options to Load WIPS and Load Customer. Closing the loaded WIP displays the customer record.
Note: In addition to the WIP and Customer details if CAS Telephony is installed the sub menu will include a list of phone numbers. Selecting a number will dial it. The first number displayed is the phone number stored on the WIP followed by the home, work and mobile numbers from the Customer record if they are different.
