Searching for/Displaying a Menu

The main data file is the menu price file that holds details of the model of vehicle and the type of work required, which in turn refers to the labour items on the manufacturer's labour code file, and parts held either in the dealer's own stock file or the manufacturer-supplied parts price file.

In order to display a menu, a file enquiry routine is utilised that allows you to search for a menu by entering any consecutive characters contained in the menu code, service model group or menu description.

To search for/display a menu:

  1. From the OPERATIONS menu, select the Menu pricing menu option.

The Menu pricing maintenance menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Menu pricing maintenance option.

If there is more than one Point-of-Sale (SO) company, the system prompts you for the SO company.

  3. Select the SO company.

The Menu Pricing Maintenance form is displayed.

  4. Click the Open existing menu button.

Tip: Alternatively, select the Open option from the File menu or click the Ellipsis button [...] in the Menucode field.

The File Enquiry form is displayed.

  5. Enter any consecutive characters contained in the Menucode, Service model group and/or Description fields.

Tip: Alternatively, leave the fields empty to display all menus.

  6. Click the Search file button.

    The search results are displayed.

  7. Select the menu that you want to display and click the Open button.

The menu details are defaulted into the Menu Pricing Maintenance form.
