Cloning a Menu

The clone routine allows you to create a new menu from an existing menu. It copies parts and labour from the existing menu, allowing you to amend the header, parts, labour, linked jobs, prices and notes for the new menu.

Note: This facility is only enabled if your manufacturer allows you to create and maintain menus.

To copy a menu:

  1. From the OPERATIONS menu, select the Menu pricing menu option.

    The Menu pricing maintenance menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Menu pricing maintenance option.

    If there is more than one Point-of-Sale (SO) company, the system prompts you for the SO company.

  3. Select the SO company.

    The Menu Pricing Maintenance form is displayed.

  4. In the Menucode field, enter the code of the menu that you want to copy.

    Tip: Click the Ellipsis button [...] to search for a menu.

    The menu is defaulted into the form.

  5. Click the Copy current menu button.

    The Copy current menu form is displayed.

  6. Update the form to generate a new menu code and click OK.

    Note: You must allocate a unique sequence number to the menu.

    The details allocated to the existing menu are defaulted into the Menu Pricing Maintenance form.

  7. Complete the details for the new menu on the following tabs:

  8. Click the Save button.

    The system creates the new menu.

Copy Current Menu Form

The Copy current menu form is displayed when you click the Copy button on the Menu Pricing File Maintenance form. Within this form you can generate a new menu code.

Menucode: Enter the new menu code.

All models: Does the menu apply to all service model groups? This field is selected by default. If the answer is no, deselect the field and enter a service model group in the next field.

Service model group: The service model group to which the menu applies.

PUSH BUTTONS

OK: Continues with the next stage of the creation routine.

Cancel: Returns you to the Menu Pricing Maintenance form.
