A facility is available that allows you to specify the following default values to be used when menus are loaded to Point-of-Sale (POS).
You must check that the job group defaults are correct on set-up and each time you perform a data conversion.
Workshop Loading group defaults are held on three different records on the Autoline system. The default normally used is A but this can be overridden in Point-of-Sale (POS), if required. In order of preference, following is a list of the defaults the system uses initially when you select a menu in POS:
Note: It is unlikely that a Workshop Loading group will be entered on the menu header. However, if it is, it is used in preference to the other defaults.
To amend job group defaults:
The Menu pricing maintenance menu is displayed.
If there is more than one Point-of-Sale (SO) company, the system prompts you for the SO company.
The Service Menu Pricing Setup form is displayed.
Tip: Double-click a group code to select it.
The Job group defaults form is displayed.
The Job group defaults form is displayed when you double-click a group code on the Job group defaults tab of the Service Menu Pricing Setup form. Within this form, you can specify job group defaults to be used when menus are loaded to POS.
Job group code: The menu group code.
Description: A description of the operation.
WL Group: Enter the default Workshop Loading group for the operation.
Note: A group code entered here overrides the load group entered in the Miscellaneous parameters (Default WL group)
Labour rate: Enter the default labour rate code for the operation.
Service code: Enter the default POS service code for the operation.
