Transactions may require unlinking from a WIP if the fluid dispensed was used for a different WIP. The system prompts you to unlink a transaction if there is mismatch between the vehicle registration number stored in the transaction details and that of the vehicle loaded on to the WIP. However, any transaction can be unlinked using this procedure.
To unlink a transaction from a WIP:
Use the WIP number field on the Service Point-of-Sale form to load the WIP record from which the transaction is to be unlinked.
One of three things happens depending on any unlinked fluid dispenser transaction data:
The Unlink From This WIP fluid dispenser transaction form is displayed and you skip the next step.
The Transaction Status form is displayed.
The Point-of-Sale form is populated with the WIP details with no fluid dispenser transaction form displayed.
Tip: Other forms may be displayed prior to these forms. You can skip them by clicking Cancel.
If no fluid dispenser transaction form is displayed, select the fluid dispenser franchise in the New product group on the Service Point-of-Sale form and click the EPC toolbar button 
(Autoline revision 8.30) or select Links > EPC from the menu bar (Autoline revision 8.30 and 8.20).
Either the Unlink From This WIP form or the Transaction Status form is displayed.
The Unlink From This WIP fluid dispenser transaction form is displayed.
Ensure that the transaction in question is listed, checking the details if necessary using the Details button.
If you want to simply unlink the transaction, select the row corresponding to the transaction and click the Unlink only button.
The Wip No field of the selected transaction is cleared.
Alternatively, you can unlink from the loaded WIP and link to another WIP.
The Wip No field of the selected transaction contains the number of the WIP to which it is to be linked.
Click OK.
The Transaction Status form is displayed, with the newly unlinked transaction subtracted from the merged unactioned transactions quantities.
Tip: Click Summary... to display a list of individual transactions remaining on the loaded WIP.
This procedure is part of unlinking a transaction from a WIP.
To unlink from the loaded WIP and link to another WIP:
On the Unlink From This WIP fluid dispenser transaction form with the grid row for the transaction selected, click the Search WIP button.
The Search For WIP form is displayed, listing the WIPs with vehicle registration numbers matching the selected transaction.
Change the search criteria, if necessary, by modifying the registration number in the Filter field, or entering a WIP number instead and selecting the WIP number option button, then click Search.
The list of WIPs in the grid is updated.
Select the WIP to which the transaction is to be linked by clicking a row in the grid and click OK.
If the vehicle registration number in the transaction record differs from that in the selected WIP, the message Registration number on selected WIP differs from that on transaction. WIP:[WIP number] is displayed. To proceed, click Add to WIP.
You are returned to the Unlink From This WIP form and the Wip No field of the selected transaction contains the number of the WIP to which it is to be linked.
Click OK.
The Transaction Status form is displayed, with the newly unlinked transaction subtracted from the merged unactioned transactions quantities.
Tip: Click Summary... to display a list of individual transactions remaining on the loaded WIP.
This form is displayed when, in Service Point-of-Sale, you load a WIP when there are unactioned dispenser transaction records linked to the loaded WIP but have vehicle registration numbers that do not match the vehicle on the WIP.
Tip: You can also display it by selecting the fluid dispenser franchise from the drop-down menu in the New product section of the Point-of-Sale form and clicking the EPC toolbar button (Autoline revision 8.30) or selecting Links > EPC from the menu bar (Autoline revision 8.30 and 8.20).
Where more than one fluid type has been dispensed for the same WIP, those transactions are displayed in separate forms one after the other.

Registration number: License plate number of vehicle associated with the loaded WIP
GRID:
Each line represents a transaction that should probably not be linked to the loaded WIP.
Users with a priority level equal to or higher than the value set in the Issue change priority field of the Parameter Setup form are provided with a list of all transactions linked to the loaded WIP, not just those that have a different vehicle registration number. A confirmation dialog is displayed prior to unlinking any transaction with a matching registration number.
Wip No: Number identifying the WIP record to which the dispenser transaction is linked
Reg. No: Vehicle registration number of the transaction, as received from the fluid dispenser system, typically entered on a keypad by the technician dispensing the fluid
Transaction number: Identifier assigned to the transaction record by the fluid dispenser software
Disp. Date: Date on which the fluid was dispensed
Qty Disp.: Quantity dispensed as measured by the fluid dispenser hardware. Standard units are litres.
PUSH BUTTONS:
OK: Unlinks the listed transactions from the WIP and either returns you to the Point of Sale form or displays the next fluid dispenser form, as circumstances dictate. If you have a priority level equal to or higher than the value set in the Issue change priority field of the Parameter Setup form, a confirmation dialog is displayed prior to unlinking any transaction with a matching registration number.
Cancel: Exits without unlinking, either returning you to the Point of Sale form or displaying the next fluid dispenser form, as circumstances dictate
Help: Displays this help page in a web browser
Details...: Displays more details about the selected transaction. Alternatively right-click the line in the grid and select Details... from the shortcut menu.
Search WIP...: Enables you to link to another WIP when unlinking from the loaded WIP
Unlink only: Clears the Wip No field of the selected transaction in the grid. If you then click OK, the transaction is not linked to any transaction and it is subsequently displayed in the Unlinked Transactions form.
