You can add, edit or delete warranty claim number ranges for the selected dealer code and company.
Warning: Changes made to the claim ranges can seriously affect the creation of claims, so should be made with care.
To add or edit claim number ranges:
From the Operations menu, select the Warranty v2 option and click OK.
The Warranty Claims Menu is displayed.
Select the Claim payments menu option and click OK.
The Service and Repair Payments Menu is displayed.
Select the Service and repair payments option and the Point-of-Sale company if you are prompted for one, and click OK.
The Warranty Claim Payments form is displayed.
Select Tools > Parameters on the menu bar or click the View/Edit parameters button 
on the toolbar.
The Warranty Parameters form is displayed.
On the General parameters tab, in the Claim number sequence group, click the Edit button.
The Warranty Claim Number Range Allocation form is displayed.
Make the required changes and click OK.
You are returned to the Warranty Parameters form, with any changes you have made to the claim number ranges saved.
This form is displayed when you click Edit on the General parameters tab of the Warranty Parameters form. It enables you to add, edit or delete claim number ranges.
Available ranges:
Sequence: Consecutive number of the claim number range.
Subset: Consecutive number of the claim number range subset.
Description: Describes the claim number range or subset.
Range start: Starting claim range number.
Range end: Ending claim range number.
Last claim: Last claim number used.
Selected: When you click this cell, it is ticked and the corresponding claim range (or subset range) is used for the selected dealer code and company.
Grid right-click menu:
Add New Range: Enables you to add a new claim number range.
Clone this range: Enables you to make a copy of the selected claim number range.
Create subset of this range: Enables you to make a subset of the selected claim number range.
Edit selected range: Enables you to edit the selected claim number range.
Edit Selected subset: Enables you to edit the selected subset range.
Delete selected range: Deletes the selected claim number range.
Note: You cannot delete a range that has subsets.
Delete selected subset: Deletes the selected subset.
Buttons:
OK: Returns you to the Warranty Parameters form, saving any claim number range changes you have made.
Tip: This button becomes enabled when a range is selected.
Cancel: Returns you to the Warranty Parameters form, ignoring any claim number range changes you have made.
