There are a maximum of 10 payment elements to a claim. The titles of these elements are parameterised by manufacturer but typically contain parts, labour, and VAT. Manufacturers often require separate payment elements for non-franchise parts; sublet work; lubricants; menu-priced items or miscellaneous expenses such as vehicle recovery.
Note: A field in the Labour Codes Files identifies which element a particular labour operation is part of. This field is set up to force the system to override the standard elements used for labour.
Claim values
Description: A summary of the different elements of the claim.
Claim value: The total amount due on the claim.
Paid value: The total paid amount.
Outstanding: The total unpaid amount.
