The rebuild supersession chain process reads through the supersession chain file and checks for any duplicate entries. If there are duplicates, the system will identify the most recent entry in the list, keep that entry and delete the rest, leaving only one entry per part number.
Rebuilding the supersession chains removes any duplicate references to the same part, increasing the speed and effectiveness of the supersession process.
To rebuild the supersession chain file:
Click FORD OPERATIONS menu > Ford BCM communication menu > Rebuild supersession chains.
The Rebuild Supersession Chains form is displayed.
Click Rebuild.
The supersession chains are rebuilt and the system displays the Supersession Rebuild dialog box with the following details:
This form is displayed when you click Ford BCM communication menu > Rebuild supersession chains > Rebuild. It enables you to rebuild the supersession chains.
Progress:
The progress bar provides a visual indication of the progress of the rebuilding.
Buttons:
Rebuild: Begins the rebuild process.
Cancel: Cancels the rebuild process and returns to the Ford BCM Communication Menu.
Help: Displays this help page in your default company browser.
