The following three parameters have values automatically assigned when the record is created and populated by the software, as follows:
Days to display: The transactions for how many previous days are to be displayed? (14).
Purge days: Delete transaction records older than this number of days (300).
Warning: This parameter should be set with caution.
Daemon interval: Number of minutes in between daemon payload transmissions (ftp requests), when files are sent and received (10). On slow or large user systems, this should be set to a longer interval.
Warning: If you set this to run at intervals greater than half an hour, tell the dealership, as they will expect parts orders to be sent as soon as possible.
Verbose logging: Either Y or N. When set to Y, the Exchange daemon generates more explicit entries in the system log file (not the exlog table), which can be viewed by clicking View log on the GM Exchange Daemon Record Form.
This is the transaction types table. When Send Authorisation Request is selected, on setup, this grid is populated by the daemon with the transaction types the dealer code is authorised to carry out by General Motors.
Transaction: Transaction types used by the dealership.
Sequence: Sequence number of the transaction type.
GME Off-peak times:
You can define weekday and weekend off-peak periods for GM Exchange transmissions. GME accepts payloads greater than 6Mb only during off-peak times.
Note: When you set the off-peak times you should enter the local times that correspond to the GME off-peak times, including any time zone differences.
