Uploading a Data File via ISDN

If you receive price file, supersession or labour code data from the Data & Software Integration (DASI) department at ADP Dealer Services UK Ltd via Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), you normally receive an e-mail advising that the data has been sent. When you receive this notification, you must update the Autoline system.

There are two ways of uploading a data file via ISDN. You can upload price or supersession files via the Load new pricefile (ISDN) option on the MASTER PARTS PRICE FILE MENU. Alternatively, you can upload price, supersession or labour code files via the Load new files (ISDN) option on the General utilities > System maintenance menu.

For Volvo, only Vehicle Standard Times Guide (VSTG) data is currently issued by DASI, and is uploaded via the General utilities > System maintenance menu. Volvo price and supersession updates are performed via the Volvo UK Dealer Stocking Package (DSP). Volvo make daily/full raw (source) price and supersession files available, which are uploaded and converted automatically by a Timed Operation.

The notification from DASI contains instructions on how to perform the VSTG update. After the VSTG data is uploaded via ISDN, it is converted via the GPSS > Menu Pricing setup option. For further details, refer to Data Conversion.

Note: If you are supplied with VSTG data at the same time as your GPSS (menu pricing) data, it is possible to upload and convert the data via the Menu Pricing setup option.
