You can display details about the current version of Volvo GPSS data and latest import/conversion, and control access to menu pricing in Point-of-Sale (POS).
Note: Access to menu pricing in Point-of-Sale is automatically denied when data is uploaded and converted.
What do you want to do?
Each time data is uploaded and converted on the Autoline system, details are stored about the current data version, together with the ID of the user that uploaded and/or converted the data.
To display data version and import/conversion details:
From the VOLVO UK OPERATIONS menu, select the GPSS option.
The Menu Pricing Maintenance menu is displayed.
Select the Menu Pricing setup option.
If there is more than one Point-of-Sale (SO) company, the system prompts you for the SO company.
Select the SO company.
The Service Menu Pricing Setup form is displayed.
Display the Status tab.
Data version details are displayed in the Data group box.
Details of the last import/conversion are displayed in the Tasks group box.
Each time menu pricing data is imported, a log file is generated. The log file is stored in a directory on the Autoline system called MS/logs, with a filename of VOSMP_IMPORT. You can display this log file if required.
To display the import log file:
Display the Service Menu Pricing Setup form as described in the procedure on Displaying Data Version and Import/Conversion Details.
Click Import in the Log files group box on the Status tab.
The View Log File (VOSMP_IMPORT) form is displayed.
This form is displayed when you click Import in the Log files group on the Status tab of the Service Menu Pricing Setup Form. From this form you can display details about the last import of menu pricing data performed.
Each time data is imported successfully, information similar to the following is displayed:
Data import
Date: Date on which the import was performed
Time: Time at which the import was performed
User ID: Login ID of the user that performed the import
Client name: Name of the computer on which the import was performed
Backing up old source data
Source directory: Path in which the source data is held
Backup directory: Path in which the source data is backed up
[Displays a list of source data files backed up. If the data was backed up successfully, the message Backed up successfully is displayed against each file.]
Backing up current source data
Status: Data backed up successfully

Importing files
[Displays a list of data files imported. If the upload was successful, the message uploaded successfully is displayed against each file.]
Each time menu pricing data is converted, a log file is generated. The log file is stored in a directory on the Autoline system called MS/logs, with a filename of VOSMP_CONVERSION. You can display this log file if required.
To display the conversion log file:
Display the Service Menu Pricing Setup form as described in the procedure on Displaying Data Version and Import/Conversion Details.
Click Conversion in the Log files group box on the Status tab.
The View Log File (VOSMP_CONVERSION) form is displayed.
This form is displayed when you click Conversion in the Log files group on the Data tab of the Service Menu Pricing Setup Form. From this form you can see details about the last conversion of menu pricing data performed.
Each time data is converted successfully, information similar to the following is displayed:
Volvo menu pricing conversion started
Date: Date on which the conversion was performed
Start time: Time at which the conversion was performed
User ID: Login ID of the user that performed the conversion
Client name: Name of the computer on which the conversion was performed
Check file sizes: Indicates if file sizes were checked. Yes or No.
Autorun mode: Indicates if the conversion was performed by a Timed Operation. Yes or No.
Backing up current data
Source directory: Path in which the current live menu pricing data is held
Backup directory: Path in which the current live menu pricing data is backed up
[Displays a list of current data files backed up, such as VO.MS.mpcon and VO.MS.mpdlr. If the backup was performed successfully, the message Backed up successfully is displayed against each file.]
Backing up current data
Status: Data backed up successfully

Initialising files
[Displays a list of files that were initialised, such as VO.MS.mplnk and VO.MS.mphdr]
Checking file sizes
[Displays a list of files that were extended. If no files need extending, the message No files needed extending is displayed.]
Converting source data for company # (where # is the company number)
[Displays a list of files that were converted, such as fluid.txt, jobgp.txt and v5vds.txt]
Conversion finished
Conversion status: Success
Finished at: Time at which the conversion finished
Elapsed time: Time that the conversion took to complete
Each time a backup is performed, a log file is generated. The log file is named VOSMP_BACKUP, and is stored in a directory on the Autoline system called MS/logs. You can display this log file via the Status tab of the Service Menu Pricing Setup form as described here, or via the Backup and Restore form.
To display the backup log file:
Display the Service Menu Pricing Setup form as described in the procedure on Displaying Data Version and Import/Conversion Details.
Click Backup in the Log files group box on the Status tab.
The View Log File Form (MS/logs/VOSMP_BACKUP) is displayed.
Each time menu pricing data is restored, a log file is created. The log file is named VOSMP_RESTORE, and is stored in a directory on the Autoline system called MS/logs. You can display this log file via the Status tab of the Service Menu Pricing Setup form as described here, or via the Backup and Restore form.
To display the restore log file:
Display the Service Menu Pricing Setup form as described in the procedure on Displaying Data Version and Import/Conversion Details.
Click Backup in the Log files group box on the Status tab.
The View Log File Form (MS/logs/VOSMP_BACKUP) is displayed.
If required, you can lock the menu pricing program in Point-of-Sale, so that users do not have access.
Note: Access to menu pricing in Point-of-Sale is automatically denied when data is uploaded and converted.
To lock the program:
Display the Service Menu Pricing Setup form as described in the procedure on Displaying Data Version and Import/Conversion Details.
The system denies POS users access to menu pricing data until you clear the Lock menu pricing field.
