The Volvo UK Warranty Claims form is displayed when you select the Warranty claims option from the VOLVO UK WARRANTY menu. From this form you can create, submit, purge and reset warranty claims.
Repair details
WIP number: Point of Sale WIP number.
Repair number: Repair order number, automatically allocated.
Mileage: Mileage of vehicle at time of repair.
Repair Date: Date of repair taken from 'date out' on WIP or 'date in' if the 'date out' field is not entered.
Job: Indicates if job is split. Used so several claims can be created from a single WIP.
Transit: Indicates if the claim is for transmit damage.
Importer: The importer code is not required for warranty claims.Ask Adam
Invoice no: Invoice number generated in Point of Sale (POS)
Failure details
Symptom: Identifies the reason for the claim.
Cause: Identifies the cause of the fault for which you are entering the claim for.
Authority: Some jobs require prior authority from Volvo before they can be carried out.
Description: Description of the fault.
Parts only claim details
Fitted: Date the casual part was fitted.
Original part: The original part number is not required for warranty claims.

Job value: Total value of parts and labour.
Labour cost: The sale value is calculated by using the time allowed and the warranty labour rate (held in the labour rate table).
Vehicle details
Registration number: Vehicle registration number, taken from the Marketing record.
Model number: Volvo model code.
Model year: Model year taken Marketing vehicle record.
Chassis number: Chassis number (VIN) from the marketing vehicle record.
QB details
QB no:
Recall number: The recall number is allocated by Volvo for warranty work carried out as part of a recall campaign.
Recall option: Recall option code.
Op no: The Volvo VSTG code.
Main op: Each job must indicate a main operation. This can be indicated by a tick or left blank.
Pos: The position indicator.
Qty: The number of times a particular VSTG code is used. Ask
JV: Jobs value.
Lab cost: Labour cost. The sale value is calculated by using the time allowed and the warranty labour rate (held in the labour rates table).
Contrib %: Goodwill contribution percentage from POS.
Part no: Volvo part number.
Causal:
Qty: The number of times a particular part was used.
Net price: The net price of the part is calculated by using the selling price, order quantity and discount.
