Introduction

The Volvo Standard Time Guide (VSTG) system acts as an integral part of the Point-of-Sale/Menu Pricing system. It enables you to create estimates, job cards and invoices, and provides a direct way of loading regularly performed jobs onto a Work-in-Progress (WIP) record. The menu prices are calculated at the point of selection in Point-of-Sale, based upon the current retail price of parts and labour, the standard VAT rate, and any discounts to which the customer is entitled.

The VSTG data contains labour codes and times only (no parts or lubricants) specific to a Volvo variant. The data is provided by Volvo and is imported to the Autoline system and formatted into the appropriate databases.

Volvo UK VSTG Menu

This menu is displayed when you click VOLVO UK OPERATIONS menu > VSTG. It enables you to import Volvo VSTG data and convert it into the format recognised by the Autoline Point-of-Sale system.

Access permissions, called priorities, determine whether a particular menu option is displayed. Each menu option is assigned a priority when the program is installed. Your administrator assigns each user a priority. Any menu option whose priority is higher than your own is omitted from the menu. If you think you need access to a menu option described in this help but it does not appear in the actual menu, check with your administrator.
