The Delete change control log option is a part of the change control log, the Change control log option will only appear on the HUMAN RESOURCES menu if the Change control log used system parameter is ticked on set up by an Autoline consultant and you are a priority 8+ user.
The main function of the Delete change control log option is to ensure the audit log file only contains data for the retention periods and thus the overall size of the log file does not keep growing.
To access the Delete change control log option:-
The Human Resources Password form is displayed.
Enter your human resource password.
The HUMAN RESOURCES menu is displayed.
Select the Change control log option.
The CHANGE CONTROL LOG menu is displayed.
Select the Delete change control log option.
The Delete change control log form is displayed.
The Delete change control log form is displayed when the Delete change control log option is selected from the CHANGE CONTROL LOG menu.
Choose from one of the three available options:-
Exit: Returns you to the CHANGE CONTROL LOG menu without any attempt to delete audit data.
Delete with report: A report detailing the audit of any deleted records is produced, record deletion is based on the retention period in days as defined within the Change log control file.
Delete without report: Record deletion is based on the retention period in days as defined within the Change log control file, no report is produced.
