This form is part of the sequence of forms for creating a new vehicle quotation. See the New Vehicles section for instructions and general tips on this process.
This form is not displayed if a variant with no vehicles in stock was selected on the previous form.
The available stock vehicles matching the variant selected on the previous form are displayed. Only one vehicle can be selected. If a red vehicle variant was selected, a non-stock vehicle can be ordered using the last option on the list, which is identifiable by having "n/a" for its location and "to be chosen" for the colour.
Note: If using VSB mode, another possibility is provided if there is another Vehicle Stockbooks company with stock matching the selected variant. A pink line is displayed for each such company, allowing you to switch to the stock list for that company.
The following information is displayed on this form:
Note: The criteria of matching results may be user defined using format NCS. This can be switched on in Showroom System Parameters Other tab, New vehicle user defined display?
Loc: The branch currently holding the vehicle
Sale Code: This field contains two pieces of information, disguised as a sale code. The figure after the 'P' is the profit available for the vehicle, calculated by subtracting the cost price from the selling price. The figure after the 'D' can either be the date on which the vehicle is expected to be in stock in DDMM format or the number of days the vehicle has been in stock. For example, P002500/D0012 on a stock vehicle would indicate a profit of 2500 pounds and that it has been in stock for 12 days. P000950/D0107 on a non-stock vehicle would indicate a profit of 950 pounds and that it will be in stock on the 1st of July.
Order: If using Vehicle Stockbooks this fields can either be blank or contain a unique order number. In MKV mode the vehicle's registration number is displayed.
Colour: The colour/trim combination of stock vehicles.
Additional options: The codes for standard factory fitted options. If there is not enough space to display all options this field will be truncated.
St: The status code.
List price: The basic vehicle price, on the road, including or excluding VAT depending on the Including VAT option on the Edit menu.
Warning: By accessing a stock vehicle first any prices and specification for that vehicle will be retained. If you need to re select a price book enquiry then you will need to exit and re enter the showroom search before selecting the pricebook enquiry to pick up the prices and specification for today's date, otherwise select the re price option on the final summary screen which will allow the you to select the required specification date.
If pictures have been set up (for the selected model in the Franchise Data module) these will be displayed in left-hand pane, with larger views available by right-clicking on the vehicle variant line.
