This form is part of the sequence of forms for creating a new vehicle quotation. See the New Vehicles section for instructions and general tips on this process.
The details of the vehicle selected on the previous form are displayed. If the vehicle is in stock then the record is loaded from Vehicle Stockbooks, or CRM if using MKV mode, otherwise the information is retrieved from the Franchise Data module.
The On the road price is displayed in the bottom-right corner. This is the basic vehicle price, including or excluding VAT depending on the Including VAT option on the Edit menu.
Note: There is an extra menu option on this form, but only if using MKV mode and only for stock vehicles with options transferred from another vehicle of the same variant. Select Transfer options from the Tools menu to display the Transfer Options form, used to transfer options and costs from other vehicles in stock.
Tip: This is the first form in the new vehicle quotations process that displays the profit status bar.
The following fields are displayed:
Vehicle details
Description
Colour\Trim: The colour and trim. Only for vehicles in stock.
Body style: The number of doors and whether the vehicle is a saloon, hatchback, estate, etc.
Fuel: Petrol, diesel, etc.
Transmission: Manual, auto, etc.
Database code: For stock vehicles this field contains the number of days that the vehicle has been in stock, in a disguised format. Otherwise it contains the date on which the vehicle is expected to be in stock, in the DDMM format.
Included in the price: A grid containing the standard options for this vehicle, if applicable. Some options may have an information symbol. Right-click this to display either notes or a web page, as set up for each option in Franchise Data.
Technical data
CC: Engine capacity in cubic centimeters.
BHP: Brake Horse Power.
CO2: Emission of carbon-dioxide in grams per kilometer.
Model year
Average MPG: Fuel economy in miles per gallon.
Stock information
Stock number: The vehicle record number from Vehicle Stockbooks or CRM vehicle stocking. Only displayed if a stock vehicle was selected on the previous form.
Registration No.: The registration number of the vehicle. Only displayed if a stock vehicle was selected on the previous form.
Branch: The location currently holding the vehicle, or the current location if ordering a new vehicle.
Note: In MKV mode and if installed the following fields display.
Production month: The production month of the vehicle.
Engine number: The engine number of the vehicle.
Based on date: This is the date of the franchise data Specification. Used vehicles will always show todays date because we can only pick option to add to the vehicle from today onwards regardless of the vehicles original specification date.
Warning: By accessing a stock vehicle first any prices and specification for that vehicle will be retained. If you need to re select a price book enquiry then you will need to exit and re enter the showroom search before selecting the pricebook enquiry to pick up the prices and specification for today's date, otherwise select the re price option on the final summary screen which will allow the you to select the required specification date.
Note: If you started the process of creating a new vehicle quotation from the Enquiry Builder then clicking the Next button on this form will complete the process. Otherwise, see the next page.
