Importing claims into Ford GWE

When you have transferred a batch of claims to GWE, you must import them into the GWE system, update and submit them to Ford. This help system shows you how to import claims into the Ford GWE system. For further details of claim updates and submission from GWE, refer to the Ford Warranty Claim Processing, Dealer Operating Guide.

Note: You must set up the GWEImport/Export parameters correctly to indicate to whether you are importing claims from PC or floppy diskette.

To import a claim into GWE:

Tip: For HELP within the GWE system, press F1.

1. From the GWE Main Menu, click the Import/Export icon (or select the Import/Export option from the menu).

   The import options are displayed.

2. Select the Import Repair Data from Host System option.

   Note: If you are importing a file from a sub dealer, select Import Repair Data from Sub Dealer.

   A window appears prompting you to select the batch claim file that you want to import into the GWE system.

3. Select a batch claim file and click OK.

   A further window is displayed indicating that the file has been imported successfully.

4. Click the Main Menu button.

   The Main Menu is displayed.

5. From the Main Menu, click the Repair Visit icon (or select the Repair Visit option from the menu, followed by Update Existing Repair Visit).

   The claims are displayed.

6. You must now update the claims manually and submit them to Ford.
