Quickmail

The Quickmail option automatically compiles claim details into an email message. Standard functionality exists that allows you to add your own comments and send the message to another user.

Note: Claims remain on the Autoline system for the length of time specified in the Warranty parameters (Purge after).

To send an E-Mail message:

  1. From the FORD OPERATIONS menu, select the Warranty menu option.

The FORD WARRANTY menu is displayed.

  2. Select the Claims maintenance option.

The system prompts you for the POS company.

  3. Select the POS company number to which the claims relate.

The Warranty claim form is displayed.

  4. In the Job number field, enter the job/claim number.

Tip: Click the Ellipse button [...] to search for a claim by Job/Claim number, WIP number, Batch number, Registration number or Chassis number. This search routine is described in the following steps.

If you are using the search routine, you are presented with a list of field search options.

  5. Select a search option from the list.

A Search criteria dialog box is displayed prompting you to enter a number from which to start the search.

  6. Enter a number from which to start the search and click OK.

Tip: Alternatively, leave the field at 0 (zero) to display all claims.

    The results are displayed.

  7. Select the claim that you want to display.

The claim details are defaulted into the form.

  8. Click the Quickmail button.

The Compose message form is displayed.

  9. Complete the details on the Compose message form.

  10. When you are ready to send the message, click the Send button.

Note: If you have not addressed the E-Mail correctly, the system sends a reply stating that the address could not be identified.
