In the event that the transfer of a batch of claims fails, a facility is available that allows you to transfer the last batch file created to GWE. For example, a failure may occur if the disk is full or corrupt, or there is a problem with the connection between the PC and the Autoline system. You can also use this routine if you created a batch but did not transfer it to Ford GWE (i.e. you took the Abort option when asked if you wanted to transfer the claims to the PC).
To transfer downloaded claims to GWE:
The FORD WARRANTY menu is displayed.
The system prompts you for the POS company number.
The Warranty claim form is displayed.
A dialog box is displayed giving you the following options: Create-batch, Resubmit-batch and Transfer-to-GWE.
Note: If you are transferring claims to floppy diskette, two additional options are displayed when you click the Transfer button: Abort and Transfer-to-floppy. Click the Transfer-to-floppy button.
The system starts to transfer the last batch file created to the PC. A batch filename is created which is a combination of the POS company number and batch number, e.g. 3000074.imp. If the file transfer is successful, the following message is displayed: File transfer to PC - okay
You are returned to the list of export options.
Note: You must now import the batch of claims into the Ford GWE system, update the claims and submit them to Ford.
