If a previous export of claims from Autoline has failed (e.g. a claim submitted to the Ford GWE system is corrupt) or you have omitted to send a batch of claims, a facility is available that allows you to resubmit batches of claims. This routine builds a list of claim batches on the Autoline system available for resubmission, recompiles the selected batch of claims and transfers it to Ford GWE.
To resubmit claims:
The FORD WARRANTY menu is displayed.
The system prompts you for the POS company number.
The Warranty claim form is displayed.
A dialog box is displayed giving you the following options: Create-batch, Resubmit-batch and Transfer-to-GWE.
A list of batches currently on the Autoline system is displayed.
A dialog box is displayed with the following message: Are you sure you wish to resubmit this batch?
The system recompiles all claims contained in the selected batch on the Autoline system and displays a dialog box advising the number of claims ontained in the batch and the batch number.
The Confirm input dialog box is displayed with the following message:
Transfer claims to PC ? Transfer Abort
Note: If you are transferring claims to floppy diskette, an additional prompt is displayed when you click the Transfer button: Transfer to diskette, with options to Continue or Cancel. Click the Continue button.
The system starts to transfer the batch file to the PC. A batch filename is created which is a combination of the POS company number and batch number, e.g. 3000074.imp. If the file transfer is successful, the following message is displayed: File transfer to PC - okay
You are returned to the list of export options.
Note: You must now import the batch of claims into the Ford GWE system, update the claims and submit them to Ford.
