Trouble-shooting

Error messages may appear as follows:

'Error mapping Vat code Z,1, etc.':

This is a set-up error. Contact Support.

The raw file won't upload:

For example, 'No matching files found to upload' appears. Ensure that the file name and directory on the user's personal computer (PC) are correct (check this in the 'Rentals' Generic File Transfer record). Also ensure that the file is actually on the PC the user/dealer is working on, rather than on a colleague's workstation.

Validation errors when importing:

Ensure that all parameters are correctly set up and that all 'Rentals' VAT codes are mapped to their Kerridge equivalent. Also ensure that all 'Rentals' line types (CDW, FUEL, INSURANCE, etc.), are mapped to a valid Nominal Ledger code. Finally, ensure that the user is entering a valid Kerridge Sales Ledger account on the invoices when creating them in the 'Rentals' application. Error messages concerning invalid records can include:

No SL account number:

The Sales Ledger Account field is empty. The system does not know where to post invoices or credit notes.

SL account not found:

The Sales Ledger Account field is blank, or has a typing error. Enter one that exists.

Cost centre not found/Expense code not found:

These can be edited. Use the ellipsis [...] button at Cost centre/Expense code on the Account Code Search Form to search for cost centres and expense codes, or type in the correct details.

NL account not found:

The Nominal Ledger code of a line does not exist in Autoline. The user mis-typed the Nominal Ledger code when entering it in the 'GM Rentals' application.

Transaction does not balance:

The system compares Headers with Lines on the Uploaded Documents Form. The Total Amount must equal the sum of the Lines.

Vat totals incorrect:

The sum of the VAT on the lines does not match the VAT total given by the 'GM Rentals' application.
