In use, there may be occurrences of error messages that indicate a potential or existing problem with the way the system operates. If there is a problem when scheduled events are running, Autoline automatically e-mails any error messages. If you experience a problem when you run an option manually, messages are displayed. You must report these errors immediately either to the Volvo Help Desk or MS Support.
The following briefly describe the cause of a given error message and the action that you must take.
Note: If any error occurs other than those listed in this topic, you must treat the error as serious and contact MS Support immediately.
ERROR! - ki_error message
Serious system file error. Contact MS Support immediately.
ERROR! - Mismatch in message converted/received
Conversion error. The check record does not match the converted figures, possibly due to a corrupt source file or a change to the record layout by the manufacturer.
ERROR! - opening raw advice file
The selected file cannot be opened.
ERROR! - reading franchise table
The franchise table for your selected company does not contain an entry for the currently selected manufacturing system.
ERROR! - unable to convert qty.
The conversion program cannot convert a numeric quantity on the file, possibly due to a change of record layout or a corrupt file.
ERROR! - unable to find raw file
The file from the manufacturer has been deleted or moved.
ERROR! - unable to open raw file
The file from the manufacturer cannot be opened, possibly due to permission errors.
ERROR! - unable to write advice note
Serious error. Contact MS Support.
ERROR! - Unknown record type
Conversion error. The program cannot convert the file, possibly due to a corrupt source file or a change by the manufacturer to the record layout.
WARNING! - Extend data area
The file that holds the converted data is nearly full and will need extending.
WARNING files not found for company ##. The following files were not found ready to convert
Autoline automatically e-mails this message if you do not receive DSP or VIPS files. If you receive this message on a Sunday or Monday morning, the system advises that you can ignore the message. This is because DSP does not run on a Saturday or Sunday. If you receive this message on any other day, log a call with MS Support.
Note: Some sites receive warning messages every day because their satellite sites are not set up to receive stock orders from Volvo. Refer to the warning message which advises you of the specific company number.
Site is experiencing problems:
LDC can be turned off by disabling it in the relevant parameter in the DSP parameters. (See Related Topics.)
Stock arrives before it is required:
The DATE IN field was not set to the appropriate date for a future booking when using the LDC Ready-for-Shipment option. The system sends the date from the WIP on all Ready-for-Shipment orders, so it is important that this field be set correctly.
